Ready to Launch!

Anxious. Excited. Afraid. Optimistic. Proud. Grateful. I've felt all these emotions and many more leading up to today's "official" launch of my law firm - Wanless LLC! To describe the last 12-18 months as a roller coaster is both entirely accurate and at the same time a massive understatement. Without divulging unnecessary details, let's just say this period of time was filled with many unforeseen challenges and galvanizing experiences with some pretty incredible business partners, ultimately providing me a unique opportunity to create something I think will be very special and impactful.

This all may sound a bit bombastic or exaggerated. Maybe it is. I'm obviously not the first person to go through the ups and downs of start-up life nor launch a law firm with grand aspirations (or delusions) of massive success and world-domination (kidding, sort of). What I do fundamentally believe, and the driving catalyst behind launching Wanless LLC , is that there is a real need for easily accessible, more affordable, experienced, and business-focused lawyers supporting emerging companies and small business. What does that mean? Predictable, manageable fees. Practical, digestible guidance. Quick, responsive answers to clients. Being a real-partner, invested in business strategy and outcomes, not simply a legal resource. In short, bringing an in-house approach to outside counsel.

There are a lot of phenomenal lawyers venturing into the "fractional" general counsel world and many who have been in this space for years who are having great success and creating new expectations for how outside counsel interact and engage their clients. Yeah, being a fractional general counsel is a "niche" practice and should never replace in-house counsel for a company at scale nor the many amazing capabilities large law firms possess to help companies of all sizes through complex matters that require a deep bench. My goal is not to "replace" but to supplement and offer alternatives that make more sense for certain companies by building a world-class law firm catering to clients who aren't "there yet" but need and deserve experienced, invested, and affordable outside counsel. That is Wanless LLC.

A sincere THANK YOU to my new clients for your faith in what I'm trying to build and the continued support. And to any founders, venture capitalists, in-house counsel, or executives looking for additional legal support, let's talk soon!
